Testimonials

“Nina Rich’s enthusiasm and dedication to wanting to help students work through their learning challenges was the answer to my prayers. My son has struggled with reading since Kindergarten. Taking tests and homework was a tremendous obstacle due to his learning disability. He loves books and was so frustrated by his struggle with reading. Since working with Nina Rich, Joseph has become a much more proficient and confident reader. The skills he has learned working with Nina helps him with all his classes in school. Joseph’s teachers have commented on his noticeable improvement. Nina has the special skill of knowing how to make a student feel engaged and excited to work with her. She is perceptive to their needs and provides so much positive and encouraging feedback. Nina has truly made a positive impact on my son’s future, and I will always be grateful for how she has helped our family.” - Joan, tutoring parent

“Ms. Rich was my daughter’s pre-k teacher and we all remember her so fondly. She is a human ray of sunshine!  She connects with children and parents alike and brings so much love, patience, sensitivity and creativity to everything she does.  She eased my daughter through those first few days of separation anxiety and helped her gain confidence and independence throughout the school year.  She is a delight in every way and any child would be lucky to have this incredible educator in their life!” — Mari, Horace Mann parent

“Nina taught my son in pre-k.  She has a magical way with kids and parents.  She truly cares about child development.  My son remembers her fondly after many years.  I couldn't recommend her highly enough and if anyone would like a personal reference they can contact me!" — Zarna, Horace Mann parent

My kids are older now but when we look back at their early years at school, a few teachers really stand out and resonate with them.  My son was lucky enough to have Nina Rich as a teacher when he was four years old.  To this day he remembers her energy, creativity and wit (although he certainly didn’t know it was called that at 4, but we did).  Charlie would come home so excited by what he was learning. But more importantly, he loved school. He laughed as he told stories, eyes wide with excitement as he explained Nina’s lessons of the day. Learning the love and beauty of life and school at such an early age was a gift given to him by Nina. To do this day we smile when we speak of her and are lucky enough to stay in touch.” —  Nancy, Packer Collegiate parent

“Nina’s sense of humor brings such joy and light to the learning process.
Each session Nina created was unique and personally tailored for my child. She designed cute and thoughtful lesson schedules with various activities to ensure my child knew what they were going to work on together, and she made sure to keep up with what my daughter needed.  She was thorough in giving my child a strong literacy foundation. Our child has progressed so much since they have started working together. There is truly a lot of love in Nina's approach towards teaching. I strongly encourage working with Nina, she makes learning fun and valuable.” - Naomi, tutoring parent

"Ms. Rich was my daughter's pre-k teacher at Horace Mann.  She is the warmest, funniest and most nurturing teacher anyone could ever have.  Words cannot describe the amount of joy around Ms. Rich.  She's super fun, warm, and inclusive, and has abundant energy to match that of the kids.  She celebrates every victory and empathizes with children’s sadness.  Above all, she is a great educator.  My family loved her then and loves her even now.  She has stayed in touch and continues to encourage and inspire." — Ruchi, Horace Mann parent

“I've never met a kid who didn't fall head over heels for Nina Rich.  She is pure magic with children: warm and zany and so talented and creative as an educator kids don't seem to notice she's asking them to learn.  My son was both a late reader and a bit rambunctious—a combination that, with another teacher, could have ruined him for school forever.  But with Ms. Rich he always felt confident and at ease, and somehow—through loads of silliness, insane art projects, and more than a few goofy dances—he became a monster reader. Ms. Rich is a treasure.” —  Laura, Packer Collegiate parent

“Nina Rich is a gem.  As the father of two sons I can say that she is that rare early childhood teacher who really "gets"  boys.  We felt so lucky our son was placed in her classroom.”  — John, Packer Collegiate parent
